Join our small, independent bakery and become part of a passionate team dedicated to producing sourdough bread, viennoiserie and pastries from scratch.
To start: End of July/ early August
Salary: £28,080-£30,160 with 22.4 days holiday a year.
The role:
· 35–40 hours per week. Tuesday – Sunday, working 4 days each week (3 days off). Opportunity to provide additional holiday cover when required.
· Work across all areas of bakery production, including dough preparation, shaping, baking, viennoiserie, pastry production.
· Work as part of a close-knit team while also being confident working independently when needed.
· Some early morning starts, taking charge of the daily bake to ensure the shelves are full of fresh bread before the doors open, then rolling straight into the day’s production.
We’re looking for someone who…
· Has a minimum of 1 year’s hands-on experience making and baking sourdough, viennoiserie and pastries.
· Works efficiently without compromising on quality and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.
· Is confident working across multiple tasks during shift, including dough production, pastries.
· Has excellent attention to detail and consistently maintains high hygiene and food safety standards.
· Is comfortable with the physical demands of the role, including lifting large sacks of flour, handling heavy dough, and spending long periods on their feet.
· Brings a positive attitude, reliability and a willingness to muck in wherever needed. While working both as part of a small team and independently.
· Enjoys bringing creativity to the bakery, whether that’s producing beautifully made classics or contributing ideas for new seasonal sweet and savoury bakes.
